Estimation of Parameters

of

2^2 Factorial Experiment

Lecture - 30

The  factorial experiment is represented by the following statistical model (CRD Model).

Yijk = μ αj + βk + (αβ)jk + ϵijk

i = 1, 2, ...., r

j = 0, 1

k = 0, 1

Where:

Yijk is the yield of ith level of factor A and jth level of factor B in kth block.

  μ is the overall effect.

αj is the effect of jth level of factor A,

βk is the effect of kth level of factor B,

 (αβ)jis the interaction effect of jth level of factor A and kth level of factor B.

The estimated model:

SSTotal = SSA + SSB + SSAB
