Estimation of Missing Value

in

RB Design

Suppose we have t number of treatment (i.e.T1, T2, …, TJ, .. , Tt) distributed over b number of blocks (i.e.B1, B2, …, Bi, …, Bb) and each block contain a complete set of treatments. Let the effect of treatment in a blocks is missing and replace by “x”, .given below:

Example:

The data for 3 treatments are obtained by using RCBD model. The last value for 3rd treatment is not recorded. The data tabulated as:

Estimate the missing value.

Solution: Let the missing value is denoted by x
